Omaha Poker
Omaha poker's appeal is that each player receives 4 hole cards which, in theory, allows them to play twice as many hands and make up to 6 times as many combination hands as they could in hold'em poker. The drawback with Omaha for many players is that the player must use exactly 2 cards from their hole cards and 3 cards from the table to make their hands. If this were not enough to confuse players, there is Omaha High/Low Split where players play two hands each, two cards from their hand for low and two cards from their hand for high. This causes confusion among newer players and even, at times, among more experienced players. Omaha Poker, because of these complexities, have not grown much in general popularity and is almost never the game of choice for beginning poker players. Omaha, however, is an interesting game and is still the game of choice for many experienced and professional poker players.
